The Wandering Stars

A festival playlist called Sasquatch.

getwillcall:

Indie kids and outdoor lovers all over the Northwest are chomping at the bit to get back to ‘The Gorge’ for the annual festival that is Sasquatch!

The festival is but a mere few weeks away, so we’ve lovingly compiled a playlist to get those who are attending all warmed up;  and as a consolation prize for those of us who are too geographically challenged to go.

WillCall Blog: A Few of Our Most Anticipated Tours of 2012

getwillcall:

According to Pollstar, 2011 proved to be a successful year for the Touring Industry, despite a 4 per cent drop in revenue compared with 2010. Bjork. vs. Omar Souleyman.

We’ve been waiting with baited breathe for this collab. It’s almost upon us. Omar Souleyman (and co) is remixing Crystalline, taken from Bjork’s forthcoming record/app/opus entitled Biophilia. This tasty little morsel gives us an inkling of what to expect from the album and Omar’s remixing skills. Debke Bjork. Finally.

Purple Rhinestone Eagle - Experimental Jetsetters

These ladies, known as Purple Rhinestone Eagle hail from Portland and just happen to be playing a house show next door to where I live which is both exciting and needless to say very convenient.

This video is from the folks at The Experimental 1/2 Hour, which is a bi-weekly cab;e access show based in Portland. Eat your heart out Wayne and Garth!

The 12 minute mark of this video is splendid, as is the rest of it. It’s a cocktail of many things, the most obvious two mixers to me being Sabbath meets Sleater Kinney. Enjoy.
